Our Favorite Austin Holiday Markets
It's December and officially time to stock up on gifts for everyone on your list! Our city offers so many opportunities to support local artists and makers. Here are a few of our favorite Austin markets and fairs to choose from!
Cherrywood Art Fair - December 8th & 9th
The 17th annual Cherrywood Art Fair will take place for two days at Maplewood Elementary School. Shoppers can check out handmade ceramics, eclectic art, natural skincare, playful pet products, children’s merchandise, and more. Proceeds from the Art Fair benefit Chula League's Little Artist BIG ARTIST, a free after-school arts mentorship program that services six East Austin elementary schools.
More than 175 local and national artists are participating in this Texas tradition at the Palmer Events Center. Armadillo Christmas Bazaar also features performances by artists such as Ray Wylie Hubbard, Shinyribs, and Marcia Ball.
This traveling market features 10 stops at a variety of local institutions including Jester King Brewery, Fareground, and Still Whiskey. You can find an array of local makers and vintage vendors all with goods perfect for gifting! For a list of upcoming locations, visit the flea website. Admission is free.
