Meet the Team - Marie

Meet Marie, our new Buyer's Agent! We so excited to welcome her to Williamson Group! 

What makes you great at your job? 

I came to the real estate industry from a background in wedding and event planning. In my planning days I loved breaking down everything that needed to happen to create a memorable day for my clients and organizing it in a way that would execute a flawless event. I saw first hand the value of having the right professional to navigate such an important day. I took pride in my ability to remain calm and quickly problem solve when unforeseen situations would arise. I have found the skills that made me a great planner have made me an even better real estate agent.  

What do you love about working with homebuyers? 

I’ve always enjoyed interior design and love helping a buyer visualize ways they can make a space their own. I appreciate many different styles of homes so getting to see them in person and navigate the process with my clients brings me so much joy! 

What accomplishment (career or personal) are you most proud of? 

I am most proud of the family my husband and I have created. We struggled for many years with infertility and while that was a very dark time for us, I learned so much through the process. We prayed fervently for God to bless us with a family and in 2014 we adopted our precious son, James. When he was one we decided to give fertility treatments one more try, and within a few months we were thrilled to find out it worked and we were expecting boy girl twins. The story doesn’t end there, when our twins, Cohen and Ollie, were 15 months old we were shocked to find out we were expecting a sweet surprise baby. Ivy perfectly completes our family. I could have never written our story but it is perfect and such a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness. 

When you are not working, where will we find you?  

You will likely find me at home with my husband and kids. We love riding our bikes to our favorite coffee shop in Georgetown, spending time outside and with friends. 

What does the word home mean to you?

Home is the place where your family resides. Twice I’ve had to live apart from my husband while we moved cities and through those times I quickly realized that it doesn’t matter where I live it just matters that we are together. I have clients fall in love with a house and fret about whether they will be able to get it or not and I remind them that if this house doesn’t work out there will be another house they will love and what really makes it their home is them. The love that you bring is what makes a house a home.
