Meet the Team - Kandace

Meet Kandace, our new Buyer's Agent! We so excited to welcome her to Williamson Group! 

What do you love about working with homebuyers? 

I love working with homebuyers because I get to work with someone who is most likely making a huge step in their life. They may be buying their very first home with every penny they have ever saved or a second home to spend time with their family. Whatever it may be, I don't only get to be a part of that experience, but I get to build a unique relationship based on trust and respect to make that happen for them. Every person I work with and every transaction I work on is different and I truly believe that it helps me grow and evolve as a person. 

What do you love about Austin? 

I am originally from Atlanta, but having two parents from Texas I had the pleasure of getting to spend my summers growing up on Lake Travis. As a young girl, I fell in love with the water, but even more I fell in love with the people and city of Austin. Sometimes, I still can't believe I really live here. What I love most about Austin is that it has everything of the big city, but is also a beautiful place to live. I look out from my apartment and I get to see big trees and sparkling water and I feel extraordinarily blessed.

When you are not working, where will we find you?  

Anywhere my dog Wes is. That may be a restaurant patio, a park, on the lake, or on my apartment patio. We love to go on long walks or sit on the patio with the fan going. He's part lab, so swimming is his favorite thing to do. I love to take him out on the lake and throw his toy out for him to bring back to me. That eighty pound mutt is my world.

My approach to life is... 

...to give everything I involve myself in my all and to be kind to others. I believe that if I were to give every day my best effort, I will not only be able to be successful in my job and my relationships, but also look back on my life with pride. My mom taught me that treating others with kindness is so important because you never know how you are going to affect their day or even their life. I plan to live in the moment and do the things I love to do, because life is short!

What does the word home mean to you?

To me, the word home is somewhere, something or someone that makes you feel safe and comforted. It is a shelter and an escape from the craziness of your everyday life. Home can be anything from a small studio apartment to a big house with a wrap around porch or even just a person you have at the end of the day. For the longest time, when I thought of home it was the image and feeling of sitting on the front steps of my childhood home looking out at the neighborhood. Now, the idea of home encompasses my loved ones, my favorite couch, my dog and so much more. Home can be anywhere and anything that is that safe haven for you.
